In our 8th Episode of the TMG Fireside Chat, John Mackey sits down with Scott MacRitchie and Brad Wilcox with FireM. In this episode we hit on a number of topics, including:
the FireM product line, where it fits in the fire protection life safety space, and how it can benefit contractors and improving how they deliver services to their end-user owners.
We follow up on the TMG Blog from May 2023 where we did a deeper dive into the product.
We discuss the background and benefits of the product and how it gives the user universal access to fire alarm panels.
We get a better understanding of how the product can be applied to multiple OEM panels on several types of facilities allowing for the centralization of data collection and system performance.
We also hit on the role FireM plays in building relationships between fire protection contractors and building owners.
We get a better understanding for the technical aspects of the product and data owners can work with.
We also identify opportunities for fire protection contractors to facilitate inspections more efficiently.
Finally, we highlight current and developing codes and standards that will be supported by the Fire M product –
- NFPA915, Standard for Remote Inspections and Tests which was published in May 2023
- NFPA950, Standard for Data Development and Exchange for the Fire Service and NFPA951, Guide to Building and Utilizing Digital Information both of which are in the DRAFT cycle with closing dates in early September 2023.
